Santa specials

Since 1994 we have been running our santa specials for all the family. Enjoy a train ride down our magical railway in our fully decorated coach, then meet Santa himself in our victorian Grade II Transfer Shed visitors centre. The visitors centre has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland with a bubbles & snow machine. The children can play in the 'snow' while they wait to see Santa. With a present for the children and a mince pie for the adults there is fun for all the family.
Our volunteers pride themselves on making the most magical experience with snow, bubbles, festive music and lights. If you have any accessibility needs for the day please let us know our coach as wheelchair but space can be limited so let us know to avoid disappointment.
New for the 2025 season is our Diesel Santa Special, tickets for this are cheaper than our steam specials. we also have our brand new toilet block open for an improved visitor experience. We look forward to seeing you.
Online bookings may close a day or so before the event, don't despair. Please call our ticket helpline on 07716672936. You can still turn up on the day although booking is recommended as availability on the day can't be guaranteed.

Our always popular Santa Specials are to be held on
- 6th December (Saturday-Diesel is use),
- 7th December (Sunday-Steam),
- 13th December (Saturday-Steam. Afternoon/early Evening),
- 14th December (Sunday-Steam),
- 20th December (Saturday-Steam),
- 21st December (Sunday-Steam)
- 23rd December (Tuesday-Steam) this year.
*Prices per person (adult or child) are £15.00 (£12 on Saturday 6 December) and pre-booking is essential this year at least 24 hours in advance. A discount of 10% applies to Groups of 5 or more paying. Not available on the day. Save money and book early! We may not be able to take any 'on the day' transactions. Please help us by booking as early as possible and there will be less chance of disappointment.
'On the day' tickets will be sold at £20 per person and strictly subject to availability.
Babies under the age of 1 are not charged and we will provide a small present from Santa. Please simply mention any young babies at the foot of the internet booking form.
