Steampunk Extravaganza With Classic cars

Fourth annual Steampunk Extravaganza and classic cars day on Sunday 9th August 2026. Somerset's Premier Steampunk event! Featuring peripatetic minstrels & entertainers, including Major Blunder, Tea Duelling, Tea pot racing, traders. Ride in our new open Wagon (wheelchair friendly)or one of our brake vans, behind a steam locomotive to the event field where classic vehicles will also be on display. Other attractions include our Shop, Light Refreshments, Model Railway and exhibits and displays (including the Chard Signalling Panel).

 A lunchtime  diesel shuttle using our historic coach will be in use which is wheelchair friendly.

Pre-booking will not be necessary for this event and please pay at the gate. 

Half price admission for time travelling Victorians and those dressed in their Steampunk finery.

Steam trains at start at 11.00am then frequently until 12.20pm when a limited diesel shuttle is used and then steam 1.50pm to 3.50pm.

(Gate open at 10.30am and train rides start at 11.00am. Last admission 3.15pm).

Other planned attractions include a Shop, Light Refreshments, Model Railway and exhibits and displays (including the Chard Signalling Panel).

Admission (including Steam Train ride £13 adult,Children £6.50 whilst children under 5 and members are admitted free. More details will be given on arrival. Half price admission for time travelling Victorians and those dressed in their Steampunk finery.

One Child (aged (5-15)) is admitted FREE with a full paying adult .
